Look for meaning, not in words, but in the way you`re feeling.
If it`s love, we`ll understand, for love is all revealing.
+ CHORUS (2x)
Like a rhythm, like a spell it sets your soul in motion.
Love, that`s sure, could rule the world, a tide to turn an ocean.
+ CHORUS (3x) ......

B-side: The Sun Goes Down (Harman/Dymond/Davies) Released: 29-9-1967 Lyrics: Longevity, what goes remains mine Knows it's kinda kind The sun he goes down The memory drifting to the past Fears of what's to come The sun he goes down Will he be a prey, or live another day ? The bell tolls Fears of what's to come The sun he goes down Takes a lonely walk, what is this that's dark ? |

LOOS OF ENGLAND EP LOOS OF ENGLAND (Howard/Blaikley)
Of all the works of Englishmen deserving fame and glory Of mighty deeds and triumphs bold in his renowned history The one that’s sung and praised the least must be the lavatory Long live the loos of England !
His firm support in hour of need, a shrine for meditation A haven from the busy world, a fond of inspiration The glory of the plumber’s art, triumph of sanitation Long live the loos of England !
The French who have no shame at all have built them on the street And though they may be picturesque it’s hard to be discreet You stand right in the boulevard, a chill wind round your feet Long live the loos of England !
The US put them up in space before the other nations They even paint them black & white to help their race relations But it’s taboo to call them loos, they call them "comfort stations" Long live the loos of England !
In Greece it’s rare to find 'em there, even in the twentieth century And if you do you’ll finally see a little elementary And in the blazing mid-day heat they’re not exactly scent free Long live the loos of England !
In Russia they’ve been nationalized and if you pay your rouble There’ll be a guard and watch-dog too to keep you out of trouble And make quite sure you don’t inscribe some capitalist doodle Long live the loos of England !
Australia’s big and in the bush you’ve loads of space to choose If you avoid the prickly pear you’ve little else to lose But mind you keep one jump ahead of those damned kangaroos Long live the loos of England !
So in this world there is one jam that we must hold whilst down And though they ring the changes one thing must not disappear And if they ask who sang this song tell them “Kilroy was here, mate” Long live the loos of England ! Long live the loos of England !
| OVER AND OVER AGAIN (Howard/Blaikley)
Over and over again, I make up my mind, That I could have found someone new Over and over again, I say to myself, Get somebody else to love you And every time I say goodbye You walk right back, I wonder why I ever let you go Over and over again, I fall in love with you Over and over again, I try to pretend It's all gonna end in the morning Over and over again, I try to be strong, But you come along without warning And every time I think we're through I find there’s nothing else to do But wait for you to call Over and over again, I fall in love with you Over and over again…

THE NAMEIn the magazine Zabadak (nr. 19) editor Ron Cooper asks DDDBM&T manager Alan Blaikley about the name Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich: "I can't remember the exact circumstances in which Ken (Howard) and I suggested it to the group. We certainly realised it could be both a plus and a minus. It was partly inspired by the Hobbit characters (Bilbo, Frodo etc) in Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings. A great plus was that the boss of Radio London, Ben Toney, felt that it would be an excellent tongue-twister for his DJ's to struggle with! As a result he programmed "You Make It Move" very heavily when hardly any other stations were playing it. I love the name!
HOW IT STARTEDIn an interview on the BBC Dave Dee states how it all began for him: "I was always in bands before I left the police force and within two weeks of resigning I had joined a local band which was going to be the nucleus of Dave Dee, Mick, Beaky, Dozy and Titch. Titch and Dozy had a different drummer and singer and I joined as a rhythm guitarist. One day the singer didn't show up for a gig and I did most of the singing. He never got back in the band, simple as that. "
