The intention is to list possibly all of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich covers by other artists around the world, most of which originated in the Sixties, when the group was most successful. Some were already done in 1965, but 1966 was the year the group found fame, and saw the hits starting to get covered, especially in Germany.
To make a nice introduction to each group or artist, there will be a short biography for every act. Until now, Worldwide covers have been found from the British Isles (She Trinity, Harmony Grass), Germany (Mark Wirtz, James Last) and France (Monty, Tony Mark), as well as Belgium (De Geuzen), Holland (Les Cruches, the Cats), Norway (Firestones, Beatmakers), Finland (Robin), Czechoslovakia (Rangers/Plavci), Hungary (Omega), Yugoslavia (Crni Biseri, Diego Varagic), Italy (I Monelli, Sorrows), Spain (Los Mustang), South Africa (4 Jacks and A Jill, The Kynd), Australia (Normie Rowe), New Zealand (Dave Miller), Hong-Kong (Joe Jr. & the Side-Effects), Japan (Jaguars, Carnabeats), the USA (Little Eva, Barbara Eden), Canada/Québec (Les Bel-Air), Mexico (Los Fakirs, Los Belmont’s), Argentina (Los Walkers), and Brazil (Os Incriveis, Renato e seus Blue Caps).
There will also be a feature on each second-hand song Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich themselves took over from other artists.
3 covers of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich share the lead position in the race for the most covered track :
